The 4DTR and 8DTR cards contain four or eight dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) receiver circuits, respectively. The cards are generally used to allow the use of tone dial single-line telephone sets, DTMF signaling over E&M and Direct Inward Dial (DID) trunks, and Direct Inward System Access (DISA) over central office trunks.
